Testimonials

Here are some of things said about our playschool….
We chose Wetheral Playschool on personal recommendation, and it has given our children a relaxed, warm environment in which to grow and develop, helping to gently prepare them for the transition to school. It feels so special because of the wealth of both childcare and life experience in all the staff, we believe our children have had a wonderfully well-rounded experience with the opportunity to bond with and learn from a variety of different caregivers. The access to nature and green spaces in a beautiful village is an added bonus!
Our son has the best time and constantly talks about all the things he gets up to.
Children thoroughly enjoy listening to favourite stories, such as ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. Staff use these opportunities well to promote their good health. For example, they encourage children to try the healthy range of foods that are pictured in the story. This supports children to adopt healthy eating habits.

Thanks for making our child’s first experience of playschool so so fantastic.
We sent our little boy to Wetheral Playschool when he was 3 years old. He previously had not attended any other setting so we were anxious to leave him and he struggled with the separation. Playschool were so good and understanding of our son’s needs and feelings and knew that a gentle approach was needed. They made sure there were activities there that our child would enjoy to help make the process easier and were there if he just needed a cuddle. The playschool feels like a home from home, with staff who are nurturing, encouraging and care about the children they look after.
Younger children make their needs known. They seek support from the friendly staff when they need help. Children are caring and considerate to others. For example, when helping themselves to a drink of water, they kindly hand out cups to their friends who are waiting patiently.
